PRESS RELEASE

jSyncManager.org announces the first release candidates of the jSyncManager 3.0 Palm Hand-held Synchronization Core Application Set and the jSyncManager 3.0 API for Java.

TORONTO, CANADA,  23 September 2003 - The jSyncManager.org team is pleased to announce the release of the first "release candidates" of the jSyncManager v3.0 Core Application Set and Application Programming Interface, a set of applications and development tools for creating fast, scaleable data synchronization solutions for PalmOS-based devices in Sun Microsystem's Java software development environment.

"The beta testing phase is over, and it has been a success", said an elated Brad Barclay, Lead Developer and Project Administrator of the jSyncManager.org Project. "All planned functionality for this release has been implemented, and all known bugs have been fixed. It's been a long journey, but this release shows that our patient, steady efforts have greatly paid off".

The release of the gamma "release candidate" files for the jSyncManager v3.0 is a prelude to the final, official release, expected within the next few weeks. These releases were made exactly one year after the project began its Open Source effort through the SourceForge.net Open Source Software Development web site.

The jSyncManager v3.0 Core Application Set is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). The jSyncManager v3.0 API is licensed under the GNU Lesser General Public License (LGPL). Both are available, along with full source code, for immediate download through the jSyncManager.org web site.
